About the Journal
An e-Journal of Archaeology and History of the Balkans in Late Antiquity
Launched in 2025 under the aegis of the HAEMUS International Research Network (HAEMUS-IRN), and published by the French School at Athens (École française d’Athènes), The Chronicles of Haemus (CoH) offer an interdisciplinary and transnational perspective on the political, economic, and cultural transformations that shaped the Balkans during the transition from the Roman to the Byzantine era.
The journal welcomes innovative contributions in multiple languages and seeks to foster scholarly exchange for a better understanding of this pivotal region in European history.
The CoH are a fully digital, multilingual, and continuously published journal, which showcases the most recent archaeological and historical research conducted by member institutions of the HAEMUS-IRN across the Balkans
