About the Journal
An e-Journal of Archaeology and History of the Balkans in Late Antiquity
Launched in 2025 under the aegis of the HAEMUS International Research Network (HAEMUS IRN) and published by the French School at Athens (École française d’Athènes), The Chronicles of Haemus (CoH) provide an interdisciplinary and transnational perspective on the political, economic, and cultural transformations that shaped the Balkans during the transition from the Roman to the Byzantine era.
The journal welcomes innovative contributions in multiple languages and aims to foster scholarly exchange to enhance understanding of this pivotal region in European history.
The CoH is a fully digital, multilingual, continuously published journal that highlights the latest archaeological and historical research on the Late Antique Balkans.
